4-Arm PEG-Thiol (4-arm PEG-SH) is a thiol functional multiarm PEG polymer which is reactive with maleimide or disulfides molecule, as well as with transition metal including Au and Ag via a metal-thioalate complex. The thiol group (-SH) is a reactive functional group that readily forms covalent bonds with other thiol groups through disulfide bonds or with maleimide groups through thiol-maleimide reactions. Thiol chemistry is widely used in bioconjugation and surface modification.
