5′-dimethoxytrityl N6-alkynylated 2′-deoxyadenosine phosphoramidite is a specialized nucleoside phosphoramidite used in the synthesis of oligonucleotides. It incorporates several key functional groups, which make it particularly useful for applications involving click chemistry and functionalized DNA. DMT is a protecting group commonly used in oligonucleotide synthesis. It is attached to the 5′-end of the nucleoside to protect it from unwanted reactions during the synthesis process. The dimethoxytrityl group is removed at a later stage to allow the formation of the final oligonucleotide. Phosphoramidite is a chemical group used as a building block in the automated synthesis of oligonucleotides. It allows for the stepwise addition of nucleotides to the growing oligonucleotide chain.
