6,​13-​bis (triisopropylsilylethynyl) pentacene (TIPS-pentacene / bis(triisopropylsilylethynyl) pentacene) consists of a pentacene core, which is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon with five linearly fused benzene rings. Pentacene derivatives are suitable for use in OTFTs, which are used in flexible and wearable electronics. 6,13-bis(triisopropylsilylethynyl)pentacene can be used as the active semiconductor material in OTFTs, enabling high-performance flexible electronic devices.
