Biotinylated GMP can be incorporated into guide RNAs or other components of CRISPR systems to facilitate tracking and purification of edited genomic regions. The biotin moiety allows for specific delivery of gene editing components to particular cell types, enhancing the efficiency of genome editing efforts.
