Description

Acid-PEG2-SS-PEG2-acid contains two polyethylene glycol (PEG) chains connected by a disulfide (SS) linkage, with carboxylic acid (acid) groups at each end. PEG is a water-soluble, biocompatible polymer widely used in drug delivery, biomaterials, and surface modification. The disulfide bond is sensitive to reducing agents such as glutathione, which is abundant in intracellular environments. The carboxylic acid groups provide reactive sites for further conjugation or attachment to other molecules, surfaces, or nanoparticles.
