Description

Alkyne-Graphene Oxide (Alkyne-GO) is a modified form of graphene oxide featuring alkyne groups. Graphene oxide is a single layer of graphene with various oxygen-containing functional groups (such as hydroxyl, epoxide, and carboxyl groups) attached to its surface. These groups make GO highly hydrophilic and reactive, which enhances its compatibility with different matrices and functional groups. Alkyne-GO can be used in composite materials to improve their mechanical and thermal properties. The alkyne groups allow for cross-linking with other polymers or materials. The functionalized graphene oxide can be used to develop conductive materials, where the alkyne groups enable the incorporation of additional conductive or semiconductive components. In addition, the alkyne-functionalized GO could potentially be used in photothermal therapy, where light absorption properties can be enhanced through the modification, enabling targeted thermal treatment of tissues or cells.
