Alkyne-modified chitosan (Alkyne-CS) refers to chitosan, a biopolymer derived from chitin, that has been chemically modified to include alkyne functional groups. Alkyne-chitosan can be used to create scaffolds for tissue engineering. The alkyne groups allow for further functionalization or cross-linking, enhancing the properties of the scaffolds. Additionally, chitosan is already used in wound dressings for its antimicrobial and biocompatible properties.
