Description

Alkyne-PEG-Thiol (ALK-PEG-SH) can be employed for PEGylation of drug molecules, enhancing their solubility, stability, and pharmacokinetics. The thiol group provides a reactive site for conjugation to other molecules or surfaces. Alkyne group can react with azide in aqueous solution catalyzed by copper. PEGylation can increase solubility and stability and reduce immunogenicity of peptides and proteins. It can also suppress the non-specific binding of charged molecules to the modified surfaces.
