Alkyne-poly-L-Glutamic acid (Alkyne capped poly-L-Glutamic acid / ALK-PGlu / Alkyne-PGlu) is a polymer composed of poly-L-glutamic acid (PGLu) with alkyne functional groups attached. The alkyne groups can be used for conjugating drugs or targeting moieties, allowing for targeted drug delivery. The high reactivity of the alkyne group facilitates the attachment of various therapeutic agents. PGLu’s biodegradability combined with alkyne functionality allows for the design of controlled-release drug delivery systems, where the release rate can be tailored based on the functionalization.
