Alkynyl-biotin or (3aS,4S,6aR)-hexahydro-2-oxo-N-[2-[2-[2-[(1-oxo-5-hexyn-1-yl)amino]ethoxy]ethoxy]ethyl]-1H-thieno[3,4-d]imidazole-4-pentanamide can be used in CuAAC reactions with azide-modified molecules. This bioorthogonal chemistry allows for specific conjugation of biotin to proteins, peptides, nucleic acids, or other biomolecules under mild conditions.
