Amgen IRE1α Inhibitor ((S)-2-Chloro-N-(6-methyl-5-((3-(2-(piperidin-3-ylamino)pyrimidin-4-yl)pyridin-2-yl)oxy)naphthalen-1-yl)benzenesulfonamide) is a pharmacological compound designed to inhibit the activity of inositol-requiring enzyme 1 alpha (IRE1α), a key player in the unfolded protein response (UPR) pathway. IRE1α is an endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress sensor that, when activated, plays a critical role in maintaining cellular homeostasis by responding to the accumulation of misfolded proteins within the ER. Many tumors exhibit high levels of ER stress and rely on the UPR for survival. Inhibiting IRE1α can induce apoptosis in cancer cells by disrupting their adaptive responses to ER stress, making it a promising strategy for cancer treatment. This product is available in kilograms.
