Description

Aminooxy-PEG7-methane can be used for the site-specific modification or immobilization of proteins and enzymes. By reacting aminooxy-PEG7-methane with protein aldehydes generated through mild oxidation, stable oxime linkages can be formed, enabling the conjugation of PEG chains to specific amino acid residues. This approach can be employed to modulate protein solubility, stability, or activity, as well as to immobilize proteins onto solid supports for applications in biocatalysis, biotechnology, or protein engineering.
