Description

Azide-PEG8-Val-Cit-Doxorubicin is a precursor of antibody drug conjugates (ADCs). Azide groups are widely used in bioconjugation chemistry due to their high reactivity with alkynes via copper-catalyzed or copper-free click chemistry reactions. PEG linkers are hydrophilic and biocompatible, serving to improve the solubility and pharmacokinetic properties of the ADC. Val-Cit is a dipeptide linker composed of valine (Val) and citrulline (Cit) amino acids. This linker is often utilized in ADCs as a cleavable linker. Doxorubicin functions by intercalating into DNA, inhibiting topoisomerase II, and causing DNA damage, ultimately leading to cell death.
