Azido-group functionalized graphene oxide/polysulfone mixed matrix ultrafiltration membrane integrate the high surface area and mechanical strength of graphene oxide with the chemical stability and processability of polysulfone. The incorporation of azido groups provides additional functionality for chemical modifications and applications. The membrane can be used for filtering water to remove contaminants, bacteria, and other impurities. The high surface area of GO combined with the mechanical strength of PSf improves filtration efficiency. The membrane can also be used for separating chemicals or pharmaceuticals from mixtures based on size or other properties.
