Description

BCN-BSA is a conjugate of Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) with Bicyclo[6.1.0]nonyne (BCN) moieties. Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) is a widely used carrier protein derived from bovine serum, known for its stability, solubility, and lack of intrinsic biological activity. BCN groups are covalently attached to BSA through specific conjugation chemistry. These BCN groups are strategically placed to facilitate subsequent conjugation reactions with azide-containing molecules via strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC) or other click chemistry approaches. The combination of BSA’s stability and BCN’s reactivity enables efficient and selective bioconjugation reactions under mild conditions.
