Description

BCN-PEG4-c(RGDyK) is used for targeted delivery of therapeutic agents to cancer cells that overexpress αvβ3 integrin receptors. The RGD sequence specifically binds to these receptors, facilitating cellular uptake of drug-loaded nanoparticles or conjugates. This targeted approach enhances drug efficacy while reducing systemic side effects. It can also be conjugated to imaging probes or contrast agents for molecular imaging and diagnostics. By attaching fluorophores, radionuclides, or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) contrast agents via click chemistry, researchers can visualize and track integrin-positive cancer cells in vivo or ex vivo.
