BIMT-Co-MOF (3,6-Bis(1-imidazole)-1,2,4,5-tetrazine-Co-MOF) refers to a Metal-Organic Framework (MOF) composed of a cobalt (Co) center coordinated to a ligand that features 3,6-Bis(1-imidazole)-1,2,4,5-tetrazine (BIMT). BIMT-Co-MOF could act as a photocatalyst in solar energy conversion processes, such as water splitting or CO2 reduction. The cobalt center’s ability to participate in redox reactions, combined with the tetrazine’s electronic properties, may enhance photocatalytic efficiency. BIMT-Co-MOF can also be used as a template or precursor for fabricating nanostructures. The MOF’s structure could guide the formation of nanomaterials with desired properties.
