Description

Biotin (AP conjugated) refers to biotin molecules that have been conjugated to alkaline phosphatase (AP). Alkaline phosphatase is an enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of phosphate esters in alkaline conditions, producing inorganic phosphate and an alcohol. It is commonly used as a reporter enzyme due to its sensitivity and the ability to produce colorimetric, fluorescent, or chemiluminescent signals. Biotin (AP conjugated) is frequently used in IHC and ICC assays for the detection of specific antigens or proteins in tissue sections or cultured cells.
