Description

Biotin-LC-Sulfo-NHS is widely used for site-specific biotinylation of proteins and antibodies. The Sulfo-NHS ester reacts with primary amines present in lysine residues or protein termini, covalently attaching biotin tags via stable amide bonds. Biotinylated proteins are utilized in various applications such as Western blotting, ELISA, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry. Sulfo-NHS (N-hydroxysulfosuccinimide) ester is a water-soluble, amine-reactive group that reacts specifically with primary amines (-NH₂ groups) of proteins, peptides, or other molecules under mild conditions. This reactive group forms stable amide bonds, enabling efficient bioconjugation.
