Description

Biotin-PEG-PFP (Biotin-PEG-Pentafluorophenyl) is used for site-specific labeling and modification of proteins. The PFP ester group reacts selectively with primary amines (-NH2) on lysine residues of proteins or on the N-terminus, forming stable amide bonds. This enables attachment of biotin to proteins of interest, facilitating purification, detection, or immobilization on surfaces. PFP is a reactive ester group that is highly reactive towards primary amines, allowing for specific conjugation with amino groups on proteins, peptides, or other biomolecules.
