Description

Biotin-PEG2-aldehyde can facilitate the development of enzyme assays by labeling enzymes or substrates with biotin tags. This allows for the sensitive detection and quantification of enzymatic activities, as well as screening of potential enzyme inhibitors for drug discovery. Besides, the aldehyde functionality of Biotin-PEG2-aldehyde can participate in bioorthogonal reactions with aminooxy-functionalized probes or tags. This allows for orthogonal labeling strategies where Biotin-PEG2-aldehyde can be selectively reacted with aminooxy-functionalized molecules under mild conditions, enabling labeling in complex biological environments without interfering with native biomolecular interactions.
