Description

Biotin-PEG3400-MTS-CAE combines biotinylation with a methanethiosulfonate (MTS) reactive group and a polyethylene glycol (PEG) chain with a molecular weight of 3400 Da. The PEGylation provides enhanced solubility and reduced non-specific interactions, while the MTS group allows for covalent bonding to cysteine residues in proteins or other biomolecules. The MTS group reacts with cysteine residues in proteins to form stable covalent bonds. This allows for specific labeling and cross-linking of proteins, which is useful for studying protein interactions and structures. Besides, the compound is useful for studying protein interactions and complexes. The biotinyl group allows for specific binding and detection, while the PEG chain improves solubility and reduces steric hindrance.
