Description

Biotin-PEG4-STP Ester is often used to attach biotin to molecules that have primary amines available for conjugation, allowing subsequent binding to streptavidin or avidin for various applications such as protein purification, immunoassays, or protein detection. STP (Succinimidyl 3-(2-pyridyldithio)propionate) is a heterobifunctional crosslinker. The succinimidyl group reacts with primary amines to form stable amide bonds, while the pyridyldithio group can form disulfide bonds with thiol groups.
