Description

(+)-Biotin-(PEO)4-TFPA is a multifunctional reagent used in biochemical and molecular biology research. Its combination of biotin for detection, PEG for solubility and flexibility, and TFPA for photo-crosslinking makes it a powerful tool for studying molecular interactions, labeling proteins, and developing assays. TFPA is an azide group attached to a trifluoromethylphenyl ring. Azides are used in photo-crosslinking applications because they can be activated by UV light to form reactive nitrenes that can covalently bond with nearby molecules.
