Biotin-XX phalloidin combines the actin-binding properties of phalloidin with the biotin-XX moiety. Phalloidin is a cyclic peptide toxin derived from the death cap mushroom (Amanita phalloides). It binds specifically to actin filaments, stabilizing them and preventing their disassembly. It is widely used to visualize and study actin filaments in cells and tissues. Biotin-XX Phalloidin is used to visualize actin filaments in cells or tissue samples. The actin filaments are labeled with phalloidin, and the biotin-XX allows for detection using streptavidin-conjugated fluorescent dyes.
