Description

Bis-(4-ethynyl)aniline can serve as a monomer in the synthesis of conjugated polymers. The ethynyl groups facilitate polymerization reactions, such as Sonogashira coupling or click chemistry, to form extended π-conjugated systems. These polymers exhibit enhanced electrical conductivity, mechanical strength, and optical properties due to the extended conjugation and the presence of the aniline core. Due to its ability to fluoresce, Bis-(4-ethynyl)aniline can also be used in the development of fluorescent sensors. The fluorescence properties can be tuned by modifying the ethynyl groups or the aniline core, allowing for the detection of various biological or chemical analytes.
