Description

bis-PEG2-endo-BCN is a functional molecule that belongs to the family of polyethylene glycol derivatives. It contains two PEG chains, which are terminated by BCN functional groups. This compound can participate in click chemistry reactions, such as strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC) or copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC), to crosslink biomolecules, polymers, or hydrogels. This property makes it useful in the development of hydrogels for tissue engineering, drug delivery systems, or controlled release matrices. Additionally, it is very useful in drug delivery systems. This compound can be used to functionalize drug carriers or nanoparticles for targeted drug delivery applications. By conjugating targeting ligands or cell-penetrating peptides to the PEG chains, bis-PEG-endo-BCN enables the selective delivery of therapeutic agents to specific tissues or cells.
