Description

Boc-Gly-PEG3-endo-BCN refers to a compound composed of a Boc-protected glycine (Boc-Gly) spacer, a polyethylene glycol (PEG) chain, and an endo-bicyclo[6.1.0]non-4-yn-9-amine (BCN) moiety. The Boc (tert-butoxycarbonyl) group serves to protect the amino group of glycine. The PEG chain provides water solubility, biocompatibility, and flexibility to the molecule, while the BCN group offers a site for bioconjugation and click chemistry reactions. Boc-Gly-PEG3-endo-BCN can be immobilized onto solid surfaces or nanoparticles with appropriate reactive groups, such as amine or thiol groups. The BCN group can then be used for further functionalization of the surface, such as attaching targeting ligands or biomolecules for specific interactions with cells or tissues.
