BODIPY-TZ-TMR is a multifunctional fluorescent compound that integrates the properties of BODIPY (Boron-dipyrromethene), Tetrazine (Tz), and Tetramethylrhodamine (TMR). The combination of BODIPY and TMR allows for real-time imaging of biological processes, with the tetrazine group facilitating the selective labeling of targets in live cells or organisms. The dual fluorescence emission from BODIPY and TMR enables multiplexed imaging, providing more detailed insights into cellular dynamics. Besides, BODIPY and TMR can function as a FRET donor-acceptor pair, with energy transfer occurring between the two dyes when they are in close proximity. This makes BODIPY-Tz-TMR an ideal tool for studying molecular interactions, conformational changes, and distances between biomolecules in FRET-based assays.
