Description

BPNs-N3-PEG (Azide-PEG-modifed Phosphorus Nanosheets) is used in targeted cancer therapy. The PEG modification helps to reduce off-target effects, while the azide groups can be used to attach targeting moieties that specifically bind to cancer cells. The black phosphorus nanosheets can also act as photothermal agents, converting light into heat to kill cancer cells. In addition, black phosphorus nanosheets have strong light-absorption properties and can convert absorbed light into heat efficiently. In photothermal therapy, BPNs-N3-PEG can be used to target and destroy cancer cells or pathogens through localized heating.
