Cholesterol-PEG-Folic Acid (CLS-PEG-Folate, CLS-PEG-FA) is a lipophilic lipid PEG conjugate with good water solubility. PEG cholesterol derivatives can be used to make targeted liposome to improve circulation time for encapsulated drugs. They can also be used for non-viral transfection reagents. The folic acid-functionalized nanoparticles can bind to folic acid receptors for targeted drug delivery.
