Description

CY7-PEG-Biotin (Cyanine7-PEG-Biotin) is utilized as a fluorescent probe for in vivo imaging studies. Its near-infrared emission enables deep tissue penetration, making it suitable for imaging small animals or studying biological processes in vivo with minimal background interference. In biosensor development, CY7-PEG-Biotin can be used to label biomolecules for sensitive detection of analytes. Streptavidin-coated surfaces or nanoparticles can capture biotinylated probes conjugated with CY7-PEG-Biotin, enabling rapid and specific detection of biomarkers or pathogens in diagnostic assays. CY7 is a near-infrared fluorescent dye belonging to the cyanine dye family. It is characterized by its absorption and emission in the near-infrared spectrum (around 750-800 nm), which offers advantages such as deeper tissue penetration and reduced background autofluorescence compared to visible light dyes.
