Description

D-Desthiobiotin-PEG1-Maleimide is used for site-specific labeling of proteins and peptides. Maleimides react specifically with thiol groups (cysteine residues) in proteins, allowing precise conjugation of labels or probes to targeted sites. In addition, Biotin-streptavidin interactions are exploited in various diagnostic assays, such as enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) and lateral flow assays, where D-Desthiobiotin-PEG1-Maleimide-modified molecules can be used as detection or capture reagents.
