Description

DBCO-NHCO-PEG13-NHS ester is a chemical compound utilized in bioconjugation chemistry for labeling and modifying biomolecules, much like its counterparts with shorter PEG chains. The DBCO group participates in bioorthogonal reactions, particularly strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC), allowing for specific conjugation with azide-containing molecules. NHCO-PEG13 consists of an amide linker (NHCO) coupled with a polyethylene glycol (PEG) chain containing 13 ethylene glycol units. The PEG linker confers solubility, flexibility, and biocompatibility to the compound, facilitating conjugation reactions with biomolecules.
