Description

DBCO-NHS is often used to functionalize molecules with azide groups for applications such as labeling biomolecules, conjugating peptides or proteins to surfaces or other molecules, and for various bioorthogonal chemistry applications. The NHS (N-hydroxysuccinimide) ester moiety of DBCO-NHS allows for the coupling of the compound to primary amines, such as those found on the lysine residues of proteins, facilitating the formation of stable amide bonds.
