Description

DBCO-PEG-DBCO (Dibenzocycolctyne-PEG-Dibenzocycolctyne) is bifunctional PEG linker to crosslink two molecules containing azide in copper-free click chemistry. DBCO stands for Dibenzocyclooctyne. DBCO has very high reaction selectivity toward azide, enabling its use in modifying biomolecules including peptide, protein, enzyme, live cells, whole organisms etc. At physiological temperature and pH ranges, the DBCO group does not react with amine or hydroxyl. DBCO also reacts with the azide group much faster than with free thiol groups. DBCO is also known as ADIBO (Azadibenzocyclooctyne) or DIBAC (Dibenzoazacyclooctyne), is one of the most common strained cyclooctyne functional groups.
