Description

DBCO-PEG-Silane (Dibenzocycolctyne-PEG-Silane) is a linear heterobifunctional PEG reagent with a DBCO and a silane. It is a useful crosslinking or bioconjugation reagent with a PEG spacer. Silanes are organic compounds containing silicon (Si) atoms bonded to organic groups. They are commonly used for surface modification and functionalization. DBCO is a chemical functional group that is highly reactive with azide groups (-N3) in a copper-free click chemistry reaction known as the strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC) reaction. DBCO is used to selectively and efficiently label or conjugate molecules containing azide groups.
