Description

DBCO-PEG2-Amine refers to a chemical compound that contains a Dibenzylcyclooctyne (DBCO) functional group, a polyethylene glycol (PEG) linker, and an amine group. DBCO is highly reactive with azides through a copper-free click chemistry reaction known as strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC). PEG linkers are often used to improve the solubility, stability, and biocompatibility of molecules, as well as to increase their circulation time in vivo. Amines are commonly used in bioconjugation reactions due to their reactivity with various functional groups such as carboxylic acids, activated esters, and aldehydes.
