Description

DBCO-PEG2-NH-Boc has a modular structure consisting of three main components: the DBCO group, the PEG spacer, and the NH-Boc group. The dibenzocyclooctyne group is a highly reactive alkyne group used in bioorthogonal chemistry for specific and rapid labeling reactions with azide-containing molecules. The polyethylene glycol spacer provides flexibility and solubility to the molecule, facilitating conjugation reactions and reducing steric hindrance. The N-terminus of the molecule is protected with a tert-butyloxycarbonyl (Boc) group, which can be selectively removed under mild conditions to reveal a free amino group for further functionalization or bioconjugation.
