Description

Desthiobiotin-NHS Ester can be used to biotinylate drug carriers, such as liposomes or nanoparticles. Biotinylated carriers can then be targeted to cells expressing biotin receptors, improving drug delivery efficiency and specificity. In addition, biotinylated proteins labeled with Desthiobiotin-NHS ester can be used in proximity-dependent labeling techniques (e.g., BioID, APEX) to study protein-protein interactions and protein complexes within cells.
