Description

Desthiobiotin-PEG2-NHS ester can biotinylate proteins and peptides by reacting with primary amines (–NH₂ groups) present in lysine residues or N-termini. This biotinylation allows for affinity purification using streptavidin or avidin columns, as well as for detection in Western blotting, ELISA, and other immunoassays. It can also be used to biotinylate nucleic acids, facilitating their capture and purification in nucleic acid isolation techniques.
