Description

Desthiobiotin-PEG9-NHS ester-labeled antibodies can be used in immunoassays for sensitive detection of antigens. The biotinylated antibodies can be captured on streptavidin-coated surfaces, allowing for quantitative detection of analytes in diagnostic tests such as ELISA or lateral flow assays. In proximity labeling techniques such as BioID or APEX, Desthiobiotin-PEG9-NHS ester can be used to biotinylate proteins in their native cellular environment. This allows for the identification of protein-protein interactions or subcellular localization studies using streptavidin-affinity purification followed by mass spectrometry analysis.
