Description

Desthiobiotin polyethyleneoxide Iodoacetamide is a multifunctional reagent that combines specific binding, solubility enhancement, and protein modification capabilities. It is useful in a range of applications including protein labeling, biochemical assays, and structural studies. Desthiobiotin is a biotin analogue that lacks one of the sulfur atoms found in biotin. It can bind to streptavidin or avidin, but with a weaker affinity compared to biotin. It is often used when a reversible or less tight binding is needed.
