Description

Dex-hyd-DOX (Dextran-hyd-Doxorubicin) is a conjugate of doxorubicin and dextran linked via a hydrazone bond. This modification improves the delivery and efficacy of doxorubicin by utilizing dextran’s biocompatibility and the controlled release properties of the hydrazone bond. The hydrazone bond can be cleaved under acidic conditions, such as those present in tumors, leading to a targeted release of doxorubicin. This can enhance the specificity and effectiveness of the drug.
