Dextran sulfate for cell media (DS8) is a common additive in cell culture media where it is often used as an anti-coagulant. It can be added to cell culture media to promote cell growth and inhibit cell aggregation. It is often used in hybridoma cell culture for monoclonal antibody production and in other cell culture applications where cell adhesion or aggregation needs to be minimized.
