Description

Diphenylthiol-Mal-PEG8-PEG4-Biotin is a biotinylation reagent with a diphenylthiol-maleimide group, which has been shown to have antibacterial properties. The diphenylthiol group can react selectively with other thiols (-SH), forming stable thioether bonds. This reactivity allows for selective modification and conjugation with biomolecules containing accessible thiol groups. The compound can also be used to functionalize surfaces, such as nanoparticles or biomaterials, with biotin groups. These biotinylated surfaces can then be used for immobilization of biotin-binding proteins or for subsequent bioconjugation reactions.
