Description

DMPC Liposomes, Lyophilized Powder are widely used as model membranes in biophysical studies to investigate the properties of lipid bilayers. These model membranes can be used to simulate biological membranes in order to study membrane fluidity, protein-lipid interactions, and drug interactions with cell membranes. Liposomal formulations using DMPC can also serve as carriers for antimicrobial agents (e.g., antibiotics, antifungals) and antiviral agents. The liposomal encapsulation protects these drugs from enzymatic degradation and facilitates direct delivery to the site of infection.
