Description

DMPE-PEG-Biotin (1,2-Dimyristoyl-sn-Glycero-3-Phosphoethanolamine-PEG-Biotin) can be incorporated into liposomes to functionalize their surface with biotin tags. Biotinylated liposomes can be used for targeted drug delivery, imaging agents, or as carriers for biomolecules in biological and medical applications. In addition, it can modify lipid membranes to study membrane protein interactions, dynamics, and functions. Biotinylated membranes facilitate the immobilization and study of membrane proteins using streptavidin-based assays or biophysical techniques.
