DOPC/CHOL/mPEG-DSPE Liposomes labeled with Oregon Green 488 DHPE refer to liposomes composed of a lipid mixture containing 1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DOPC), cholesterol (CHOL), and polyethylene glycol (PEG)-conjugated distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine (DSPE), where a fraction of the lipids includes Oregon Green 488 DHPE (1,2-dihexadecanoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine-N-(6-(7-nitro-2-1,3-benzoxadiazol-4-yl)amino)hexanoyl). Oregon Green 488 DHPE is a fluorophore-labeled phospholipid containing a green fluorescent dye (Oregon Green 488) conjugated to a lipid anchor. It serves as a fluorescent marker for visualizing and tracking liposomes in biological systems using fluorescence microscopy or flow cytometry. DOPC/CHOL/mPEG-DSPE liposomes labeled with Oregon Green 488 DHPE can serve as carriers for delivering therapeutic agents, such as drugs or nucleic acids, to target tissues or cells. The fluorescence of Oregon Green 488 DHPE allows for real-time monitoring of liposome biodistribution, cellular uptake, and cargo release kinetics in vivo.
