Description

DOPC/CHOL/mPEG-DSPE Liposomes labeled with TRITC-DHPE refer to liposomes composed of a lipid mixture containing 1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DOPC), cholesterol (CHOL), and polyethylene glycol (PEG)-conjugated distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine (DSPE), where a fraction of the lipids includes TRITC-DHPE (1,2-dihexadecanoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine-N-(tetramethylrhodamine)). TRITC-DHPE is a fluorophore-labeled phospholipid containing a red fluorescent dye (tetramethylrhodamine) conjugated to a lipid anchor. It serves as a fluorescent marker for visualizing and tracking liposomes in biological systems using fluorescence microscopy or flow cytometry. TRITC-labeled liposomes can be employed in pharmacokinetic studies to investigate their circulation time, tissue distribution, and clearance kinetics in animal models. The fluorescence of TRITC-DHPE allows for non-invasive and quantitative tracking of liposomes in vivo.
